Help - Did some tweaks, now touch keypad is missing space bar!

Help! I did a few tweaks: Opera to multiple tabs (5) instead of default 2, installed Total Commander,

Now when I use the touch pad , the space bar is missing! Only have the '.com' and '/' keys just as if I was going to enter a web page. Help!

It's working correctly.

When typing an address in Opera it replaces your spacebar with .com & / because there are no spaces within web addresses, therefore unnecessary.

Right, but in regular text mode, I get the same screen. No space bar. I went into OPERA:CONFIG to maybe change a setting - and in there when I attempted to change max tab settings, the correct touch text keyboard appeared. It had the space bar. Very frustrating because now I can't send a normal text.

It seems to have made the Opera/browser touch keyboard (.com) the default somehow.

Also, I did enable the predictive text. Could that have screwed it up?

garunteed this is the culprit. i just had a problem after i did the predictive text tweak and my "full QWERTY" keyboard later turned into the phone dialer keypad. freaked me out for a minute, but i just undid the two changes in the registry and it went back. i then re-did it and now have both again, we'll see if the problem happens again. don't forget to soft reset after each registry edit...

Hi, can someone point me to the predictive text tweak? I need to set it back to default. I can't find it quickly enough. Also because I'm doing this while at work. Thanks.

"Open your registry editor and make sure that:

HKLM\Software\Tegic\eT9\XT9SupportMSSip has a value of 0

Change these two registry keys under:

HKLM\system\currentcontrolset\control\layouts\e001 0409

•Ime File: \windows\et9ime.dll --> Ime File: \windows\compime.dll
•Layout Text : ET9 IME --> Layout Text : COMP IME

That's it."

just reverse the last two keys and soft reset.

can someone point me to the post that has the 5 tabs for opera. Did a quick search and didn't find anything. thanks in advance
