Link Selecting on Opera Browser

Is there some sort of trick to getting a link to select in Opera? I have to keep hitting the link over and over and over again to get it to go or hold and select open in new tab. I'm going to wear holes in my screen.

I know what you mean. The trick I've been using is getting the link kinda in the center of the screen and then doing a quick double tap to zoom in. From there it seems to be easier to select the link.

IMHO, Opera Browser is a joke and borderline unusable. You shouldn't have to triple tap just to hit a link! Check out the Opera Mini thread. It is faster, more stable and you only need to click once.

Totally disagree.... slighty. The original Opera browser loaded on the TP1 was similar, it was harder to get the links to open, or you would have to hold on the link and have it open in a new tab. Many other versions and updates to opera, including 9.7, resolve this.

So it's just the version Sprint is using and the way it's setup IMO.

I don't think its that much of an issue in my opinion, you just have to be zoomed in to hit a link thats it. It takes half a second to double tap the screen to zoom in then another half a second to click a link. I like to use opera for my mobile browsing and for the most part I like more than any other browser

I really like the way Opera looks and being able to fling the pages around is nice. It's better than EI (not saying much). But I was about to send the phone back to sprint until I discovered Opera Mini.
