memmaid is isane! I had heard about it before and never got around to using it, but now I was curious as to why some people were saying under 40%.

The second time I restarted, it was at 37% for about a few seconds, then up to 50% once whatever processes started.

I am at 53% with TF3D. I haven't seen below 50% outside of MS3.

Re: Touch Pro2 program memory leak???

There are several things in the \Windows\Startup folder that I have no idea what they do (except for BTTrayCE... that's the Bluetooth Stack which is mandatory if you intend to use Bluetooth). Together, they consume about 5% of memory, but they also don't seem to be the cause of any leaks either. I'll dive into services today... CM_Guardian is one I know can go away, as is NOTIFICATIONMANAGER (at least on Sprint).

Re: Touch Pro2 program memory leak???

I'm at 29%. This is with TF3D disabled and I just installed the Opera killing CAB supplied by Jessiethe3rd. THANKS!

EDIT: It seems to idle at 40%

EDIT: The Opera killer (NoPushInternet_v2.CAB) works great. I went to load Opera and it took a while to load. Good ridance Opera Browser! Opera Mini is so much better.

Opera as a whole can go to Hell, in my opinion. I'll be setting IE as my default pretty soon, and yes, Push Internet can go away too. What a useless idea.

MightyMike had me go to HKLM/SOFTWARE/HTC/ResProxy and change ShareMemSize to 0 and things settled down for me I never get up past 60% also if you are using S2U2 or G-Alarm it is going to take up a lot of memory as well.

Thanks for all of the help guys. With some of the tweaks it looks like I am at around 53% at start up and I hover@ or around 60%.

1) What is CM_Guardian?

2) In the startup folder:

poutlook is Pocket Outlook.

3) I also see HTCStartUp and PKG and I am curious what they are.

4) Under Startup Services, I disabled:

DTPT (Active-Sync Desktop Pass-Through)
SqmUpload (Customer experience upload)
PushInternetEngine (scope of this thread's discussion)

5) What are these?

dald/dald.dll
CIQ/CIQservice.dll

CIQAppDetector/CIQAppDetector.dll
stk_service/STK_Service.dll
ussd/USSD_Service.dll

There are a few others I am curious about. I am looking to catalog each startup service and disable those that are not needed. I am not running TF3D.

BTW, I am using Memmaid to do this. Opera no longer automatically load after I disabled the PushInternetEngine.
