It really doesn't belong here either. Read the titles of the threads to see where you should post. If you can't find one then start one. This tread is for the message sent notification. Thanks!

After reading this it sounds like I am being an a** but really I am not.

Re: Disable VZW TP2 Message Sent

ok so when i have done the default message that everyone talks about it changes it from that annoying little box that you have to press ok to one that you can dismiss it or it just goes away on its own in a couple of seconds

I just have to do a soft reset.

Re: Disable VZW TP2 Message Sent

Honestly, I have almost no idea how I got rid of this box. I had it forever trying reg edits to get rid of it, gave up, then started fooling with advanced config and it's gone!

These are the settings I'm using:
Messaging > SMS Sent notification > Enabled
Messaging > SMS Delivery notification > Disabled
Messaging > SMS Unicode support > Enabled

I messed with those 3 settings and the message sent pop up no longer happens. Cheers.

Re: Disable VZW TP2 Message Sent

I have tried every reg edit and 3rd party app under the sun to get rid of the SMS pop-up, but nothing works! I still get the little box that disappears on it's own after a few seconds. Stoopid Verizon just had to go and mess it all up from the TP1!

Re: Disable VZW TP2 Message Sent

I give up. I tried the cab originally, now I don't have the pretty pop up, only the standard WinMo. Which is really neither here nor there. The bottom line is that it's still there. I have all the faith in the world in our geeks though. It will be found eventually. Thanks for all the efforts so far guys.

Re: Disable VZW TP2 Message Sent

I just soft reset and it is indeed still working. This is what I THINK I did. I NEVER installed a disable SMS notification .cab, instead I made these edits:

HKLM\Drivers\BuiltIn\RIL : DisableSMSWakeUpEvent set to 1
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Inbox : SMSNoSentMsg set to 1

Soft reset, didn't work.

Made this reg edit:
HKCU\ControlPanel\Notifications\Default : Options set to 0

Soft reset, didn't work.

Opened advanced config, set:
Messaging > SMS Sent notification > Enabled
Messaging > SMS Delivery notification > Enabled
Messaging > SMS Unicode support > Enabled

Soft reset, it worked! but I had a SMS delivery notification.

Opened up advanced config again, set:
Messaging > SMS Sent notification > Enabled
Messaging > SMS Delivery notification > Disabled
Messaging > SMS Unicode support > Enabled

Soft reset and viola.

And where are these settings located, or are they registry keys? I went to messaging but can't find those options there anywhere
