Re: Disable VZW TP2 Message Sent

Have you guys noticed that on the TP1, and other WM devices for that matter, if you are trying to send a message, at the exact same time you're receiving a message, the message you're sending would fail? You could then click the red link that would retry? Well on the TP2 there's a program called "Text Message Retry" (in list of programs), and I think it verifies that each and every message is sent and if it doesn't then it retries for you automatically. I'm thinking this program is displaying the message sent pop up. Whatchya think?

To my knowledge all that does is control whether or not a new message displays in a pop up in the left corner of the screen. If you disable this setting you have to go in to text messaging to read your message. If you enable it, then new messages will pop up in a bubble in the lower left corner. I don't think it has anything to do with the message sent notification.

No, it would turn off the pop up sent notification

I was in there too looking around. Is this problem in the install of the Arcsoft MMS program?

Is there not a listing for SMS Sent?

I am going to say No, but I am leaning towards a hidden entry or DLL controlled. But I'll admit I could also be wrong.

Whats puzzling is there is SMS settings under Arcsoft in the Reg and entries under Microsoft and HTC. It's hard to figure out which of these could be controling it but like it was said it may be in a dll.

If changing this value, [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\Settin gs]
"SMSNoSentMsg"=dword:1, changes to old pop up, then I would say HTC is controlling this other one but that is just my opinion.

No there isn't. I've never seen that setting on any WM I've owned.

I did but it was a custom ROM on my TP1 awhile back. Or then again it could have been the original VZW rom but I am certain it was there.
