For me, it's the same one I used on the TP. It was sitting on my memory card so I just installed it from there. Didn't even consider looking for a new one now that you mention it....

Yes, but I assume that's just something verizon has thrown into our registry that we have yet to find. Do other touch pro 2's have this icon? I've only seen the vzw version.

It's also confirmed that if a txt message fails to send, it will prompt you to resend it. That was a worry I had while changing all this.

If you don't want to do the advanced config route, just modify the following keys:

HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\Settings SMSNoSentMsg = 0
HKCU\ControlPanel\Notifications\Default Options = 0
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\Settings DisableSMSDeliveryReceipt = 0

I'm not getting the pop up box but I too am getting the "new message" indicator instead, that disappears. It would be nice to figure out how to make that not show up also.

Update!! Please see post #192 & #196 for the most recent fix.

Welp, I'm pretty damned happy with this fix. the icon doesn't bother me because it goes away quickly and doesn't demand that it's presence is known.

Thanks again to everyone who worked on this one.

as long as i can send the message, close the window, slide the keyboard in, and shut the screen off without the pop up. im happy or the sound either.
