Did not read the whole thread, but be careful returning it. I've bought a PSP from Best Buy, opened it up, powered on, screen cracked right out of sealed box. Best Buy refused to take it back.

Yeah no kidding. If you have a little fight in you, Best Buy is fairly easy to sway.

Also, try a different Best Buy. I used to work in one and know that they all operate and treat returns individually.

The screen is definitely scratchable. I know this because I have now scratched mine. AAAARRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

Anybody have any thoughts on how to remove a relatively small and not too deep scratch? I read a thread re: the original touch pro that suggested very fine car polish. Is the screen material the same on the TP2, such that it might be as successful with the TP2?
