Hey Bundo,

I thought that when you added the forced roam lines in the reg and left it in 'automatic' mode, the addition of the forced roam would prevent hopping back to the sprint network after it had switched to a stronger signal.

Does something else need to be done to make this work on modded ROMs? I thought automtic + reg edits = automatic forced roam. Am I wrong?

I can confirm that this does not work on Mighty ROM. I used the registry entry's as stated in post #1 on my stock Sprint ROM and they work perfect. But now that I am using Mighty ROM, nothing that I know of makes a 'Roaming Only' option appear. The cab that was provided a few posts back does not work either.

Anyone have any luck being able to Force Roaming on a modded ROM?

It is really useful if you want to get out of your contract. If you use more than 50% of your minutes on roaming network, sprint will kick you out :D

No, from what i read on the sprint contract. You arent breaking the contract by using roaming. Let sprint break it on their side.

Correct, Sprint will not charge you a ETF if they cancel your contract because of roaming abuse. They just send you a letter stating why they are canceling your service.

I was thinking, maybe it's not a modded ROM that is preventing a 'Roaming Only' option using the registry edits in the OP's first post. Maybe its Windows Mobile 6.5.

The registry edits worked perfect on my stock ROM, but when I tried them on my MightyROM they don't work. Could it be because MightyROM uses Windows Mobile 6.5, and in 6.5 the registry entry to force roaming is different. Just wondering.

While true, why would you want to go to a higher priced carrier? Unless of course you have a bad signal on Sprint, then it would be understandable.
