internet connection problem

ok, i have searched for this to no avail. i have installed the ics cab in the tips tricks forum, and also deleted the force cell string. everytime i click to connect to sprint for phone as modem, i get the error 67 pop up. vision username/password is incorrect. i have also added a new modem connection that did not fix the problem. any fix for this? i can use the internet on my phone just fine. thanks in advance

Re: internet connection problem

you should just need to establish an internet conenction first... that fixed it for me... i downloaded no cabs, did no registry edit, and mine works

well played... got it working... and it seems like it works without establishing a connection first now, is that the same thing that happened to u? or do u have to establish a data connection every time? thanks again

Re: internet connection problem

if the phone doesn't have an active connection you will most always have to establish a data session first (unless you have PAM on your account).

make sure to also disable the isext.dll in the registry otherwise sprint can track your tether usage..

i guess this is something new? on the tp i didnt have to establish a data connection first to use ics... and didn't have to delete anything... what's with the "stealth cab." does taht delete the isext.dll file? it does say stealth... implying they can't see you. oh and where can i find this dll? thanks

Re: internet connection problem

here are the changes I did to get it to work (I did not download the ics cab)

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\InternetSharing\Settings]
"ForceCellConnection"="Sprint" (it will always revert back to say "phone as modem" when you reset your phone)

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\InternetSharing]
"Extension"="" (i deleted the isext.dll after 'extension')

I used total commander to do my registry changes.
