Problem with changing background on Mobileshell 3 and sense UI theme

Has anyone tried this?

http://pocketnow.com/software-1/get-...windows-mobile

I love it, it's smooth to scroll and transition, however for the life of me, I cannot get a background picture to show up properly; even if my image size is the proper size of 480x800. When you go to change your background it's incredibly big and zoomed in. Maybe it's just a limitation/issue of this theme?

Attached is the image I am trying to use for the background...

Re: Problem with changing background on Mobileshell 3 and sense UI theme

i use that theme...i like version 1 better though. they changed it to regular transitions between pages in v2, so no more panning around like in the original mobile shell3.

i found that you can inject v2 widgets into v1 sence rev theme though. this lets you have the nice panoramic background while letting you access most of the v2 widgets. if you wanna try that route let me know and ill post the links.

btw mobile shell uses different resolutions for backgrounds because they're meant to be panoramic backgrounds... forgot exact size. v2 of the hero theme just chops that background up.

Sure that would be great to change it.

I searched through all the French pages on the forum:

http://www.mobilecustom.fr/forum/ind...,2398.450.html

Finally found this and it worked!

Easy way to change background
1) create a bmp (R5 G6 B5) of your favorite image (same portrait resolution of your device)
2) rename image.bmp -> background.dat
3) exit from spb mobile shell and connect device to pc
4) overwrite original background.dat with your
5) launch spb mobile shell
... new background

Re: Problem with changing background on Mobileshell 3 and sense UI theme

nice!

k, well if you or anyone else is interested in using the newer v2 widgets on v1 of the hero theme (mainly for transition style), here u go:

i should mention i did this all on a clean install of mobile shell3, which they recommend

- install v1 of the theme from here (first mortscript 4.2, message2reg and then MCsence theme): http://www.mobilecustom.fr/forum/ind...ic,2174.0.html

- then get the v2 widget injector from here: http://www.mobilecustom.fr/forum/ind...ic,2403.0.html
to install, unzip containing folder and put it on your phone. then run the widgetinjector exe and follow the instructions. it pretty much just asks which categories to add each widget to on MS add menu.

- soft reset
