+1 on this, no offence to you but i could give a left nut about your free tp2, especially when like 75 % of tp1 owners have had 3 or more replacements and they also did the same wrong number thing......

whats the point of this thread... its not usefull at all..

Look all I am saying is one of the reps at the sprint store is a friend and has been taking care of our business plan for awhile. He said simply said to come in and he will take care of it for me.

This isn't to brag, I am just saying that I thought I was going to have to shell out a bunch of money and how cool it was that I don't now.

Also there is no fee, yes I did pay for the TP1, but this is a free upgrade.
Just wait, if you don't believe me now, you are bound to hear more of this happening!

Haha thanks man, people just get upset I guess when things don't go their way.
The way I look at it is treat others as you would like to be treated. If some other person gets the Hero for free, good for them, no need to bash.

The only thing I could see people getting mad at is that Verizon 199.99 price haha!

So let me tell you from someone who was just in your place, make sure you get it in writing or that you see the notes placed in your account, I know you say this rep is a friend, and that is awesome, but I went through the same thing...long story short the store promised me the replacement, could not authorize, and told me to contact Sprint directly and they would honor it...me being the naive person I am believed this and that Sprint would honor. 3 days later, countless reps later, even an escalated message to Dan Hesse himself has gotten me the response of "Sir, we here at Sprint do not swap an upgrade device with a device that is still covered under warranty"...and when asked and understood that I would have to provide money out of pocket, "Again sir, I apologize, we here at Sprint are not in teh business of price matching devices..."

That is great that you were promised a Touch Pro 2, and congrats to all who have managed to get one for less then the $349.99 cost after rebate, all I am saying is make sure it is noted somewhere in the account, Account reps have a habit of forgetting what they said, 5 mins after they say it, let alone a month later.

True, thank you for the well thought out opinion and not just bashing.
You have valid point, but I have worked with them before and have had no
problems and don't expect any to rise, but I will make sure because what
you are saying can very well happen.

If there were a solution for everyone to get a free TP2 then Sprint would fail.
This is simply my story of how i got mine for free.
