Wait until the slow down after Windows 6.5

I believe there will be a lot of people crying about the slowdown after the windows 6.5 upgrade. I never liked running it on my diamond no matter how many tweaks were done to it. It just slowed down the device too much, or it started fast and ended slow. Why do you think they didn't ship it with 6.5? We've been running it for about 8 months and they wanted to wait one more month after the intial launch. Performance will suffer no matter what with windows 6.5.

Re: Wait until the slow down after Windows 6.5

6.5.1 has been the fastest and most stable build I have used...I have no idea what you're talking about but I've been very fast on a vzw crippled touch pro
maybe its your apps installed or the htc bloatware...

Re: Wait until the slow down after Windows 6.5

6.5 is being made ready on Oct 6 for HTC branded TP2 devices. That is Microsoft's official launch date for WM65. Regardless of what the folks at XDA have been doing with WM65 - it hasn't actually launched past RTM yet ... so that is why your TP2 hasn't shipped with WM65 just yet.

NFSFAN's WM65 ROM ran much faster than the stock WM61 ROM did on my Vogue.

Now, while WM65 officially drops on Oct 6, carrier branded devices will most likely not see the update right away - if ever.

Re: Wait until the slow down after Windows 6.5

I haven't run a stock rom on my mogul or diamond since the day i could get a kitchen on it. 6.5 runs slow, or slows down, take your pick. I run my roms as clean as possible. There are others here that think the same, so don't act like this is the first your hearing this. Secondly for the person running a verizon crippled touch pro, your expectations aren't as high as mine.

Wtf is that supposed to mean? Just because I have a verizon touch pro and the ram is cut, doesn't mean that my user experience will be different based on yours.

Just an FYI, I have a sprint touch pro, an alltel touch pro, a us cellular touch pro and a verizon touch pro. So I just don't test new rom builds on my verizon touch pro. I test them on total of 4 devices. And the performance on 6.5.1 is pretty much the same

speed and memory management are the goals of wm 6.5 and on the newest build runs at 48 mb on startup with a lot more resources available

Not only is it fast, but efficient. I don't know what build you are on but you best get your facts straight on other members...

That is being very pessimistic. Sprint for one has lately been very fast with ROM upgrades. There also has been too much hype around 6.5 for the carriers to look the other way. I bet Sprint will be fast to offer the upgrade because TP2 came out just a month before 6.5 and they are charging top dollar for the phone. We will see 6.5 from Sprint. You can bet on it. That is what happened with the last phone.

Actually, I wouldn't be surprise if sprint comes out with theirs on the same day or maybe a few days later. Conflipper has had an actual sprint6.5 rom for a few months now if I am not mistaken.

Running the energy rom with 6.5 right now. Fastest rom I've ever used.
