Re: Wait until the slow down after Windows 6.5

The TP2 is also going to have an actual 6.5 kernel with better memory management... Something else to think about

Definitely disagree, this doesn't even make any sense. Any future phone will ship with 6.5, if what you were saying were true then that wouldn't happen. Also i 've been running 6.5 for the last 3 months and hate going back to 6.1 on this tp2. As soon as the hspl is done, a 6.5 rom will be on there till the official rom is released.

My thoughts exactly. Now nothing makes sense, but it all made sense a couple months ago. I can appreciate the people who give valid points, but don't get amnesia.

SUPERFLY?!?!?!?!?

Wow... You threw your opinion out there and have been nothing but pessemistic and jumped all over the guy because his experience and opinion are different.

Who's coming off like superfly?

What are you talking about? So there haven't been other threads about 6.1 vs 6.5.

You best do your research on members? He made it personal. It was about roms, not researching him or any other member.

Third: Where'd you come from with a post just for this, not even about a phone or a question about a phone. Sounds like you might be dude in disguise. It's all about the roms as far as i'm concerned.

ok guys lets all calm down before a flame war is started....every one is welcome to their own opinon some will love 6.5 and some will hate it. every ones different i mean i know ppl who still prefer 6 over 6.1 and 5 over six this will be a never ending chain we will all just have to accept that not every one shares your same opinion and live peacefully.

Let me twist this a different direction, with one question: I assume all apps will need to be phyically reinstalled after the 6.5 upgrade?

the sys(ie 23017,23xxx,etc) thats what ur looking for as far as stablility

NFSFAN's WM65 ROM ran much faster than the stock WM61 ROM did on my Vogue.

Now, while WM65 officially drops on Oct 6, carrier branded devices will most likely not see the update right away - if ever.
got some proof on that? your opening line and last line are very contradictive.. you say "being made ready on the 6th" then say "most likely not see an upgrade right away" so which is it... Sprint,MS, NOR HTC, have said when an upgrade rom will be available... oct 6th has devices launching in conjunction with the 6.5 release.. as far as anything ive read or seen posted nothing has indicated ANYTHING other than these few handsets will have 6.5 available on or by the 6th...

Secondly for the person running a verizon crippled touch pro, your expectations aren't as high as mine.
wow, so are u ever gonna get a PRO or u just gonna come in the PRO room and speculate how OUR devices run, since afterall ur running a diamond and a mogul... both, not on level with a TP

That is what happened with the last phone.
lately???? has there been a rom release for sprint since 6.1 in july of 2007??? theyve hardly hooked us up with updates...

Now go do your research.
first, YOUVE READ, until you KNOW or have first hand experience, why r u here in the PRO room..

second, people r going to always disagree with what they like or dont like..

third, you wanna tell people to research... well buddy, how bout u research sys 23017, read the web, not just PPCG, youll find the 23017 build is BY FAR, THE MOST STABLE build PERIOD... so maybe, your diamond and mogul r junk... r u really gonna compare running 6.5 on a 64mb device(mogul) vs running it on the PRO??? get out of here with that garbage

lurking for 2 yrs...doesnt mean u cant know ur stuff still, but come on man... u come in here, with a speculative post at that, how do u expect people to act?

and since u seem to think someone cand have a crippled VZW device and have your best interest in mine... check out Chef BikeandDestroy... he builds nothing but 6.5 roms for us, and guess what he runs a crippled vzw TP... he also happens to make some of the most stable roms(demolition roms) for EVERYONE to use.... so what device your on, doesnt mean a thing, as far as offering help to another... obviously u know that, since your running 2 devices yourself that arent even TPs, yet we find you in here..

SURE, there been plenty of threads about it.....so whyd u start yet ANOTHER one...

you told him he couldnt possible understand what hes talking about because he runs a VZW device...when in fact u should hear him out more than anything, since he would understand running 6.5 on a device with less available-much like your diamond and mogul..

r u really trying to go after someone cuz of post count??? 2 yrs and u have 25 to his 5... who cares... like u said youve been here 2 yrs and just started posting... so ur gonna condemn someone who does tha same thing?? get off ur high horse guy...

You get a PRO, and run SIlence, Demolition, Black Dragon, Mighty, Energy, Psyki..... then come talk to us about how sluggish 6.5 is or isnt... but until your using our device and our Roms, STFU honestly!

Re: Wait until the slow down after Windows 6.5

First of all, not many people have a touch pro 2 yet, and no one is running it with the official 6.5 so it's all speculation. Second, the touch pro being on another level than the diamond is a matter of opinion. Hardware differences but a totally different level, pure opinion. I also haven't made up my mind whether to get one or not. That is why I posted to see opinions on how it will run with 6.5 versus getting a Hero. All the other stuff you wrote and that last comment was you showing your true ignorance and up bringing. Dude already deaded the situation telling everyone to calm down, Then here you come.

Well there is this: http://www.boygeniusreport.com/2009/...le-65-upgrade/

And I think what he meant was that HTC is going to push out the 6.5 updates to their newer devices that they support directly while it might be a little longer with devices that are mainly supported on the carrier's side.
