Re: sprint touch pro 2 ORDERED!!

I spoke to a sales rep at sprint and they told me that the reason sprint is higher on prices is because of monthly service, and compared it to buying a car...
which does not make any sense because when you buy a vehicle you are not looking down the road at gas prices you are looking at the price you can get the vehicle for at the present time. Liek Verizon and Sprint pricing on there TP2 handsets. Can't see the justification for this

Well, when a LOT of your subscribers are paying $30 a month instead of the normal $60+, that higher premium is justified, if you know what I mean.

UPS doesn't hold packages deliberately without attempting to deliver, as keeping packages in a center is a liability and there's usually just no room for them! They certainly can screw up and not deliver it on the day promised, but they won't just change a NDA to ground or vice versa. Most likely it was either an error between Sprint and fulfillment, or they were taking advantage of UPS' ground guarantee. If you're within one day of delivery from Louisville, they might very well ship it ground, as it would get there the same day, barring any screw-ups. Even if you do ship something Next Day Air, it will only get on a plane if the ground network can't get it there at the same time.

Yup, I'm an employee. Don't think UPS is perfect by a long shot, but they didn't just change the service on ya.

Agreed, I even had a sprint telesales supervisor admit to me "it was our fault in the warehouse" after they tried to blame UPS at first.

Ok, even though my email from Sprint said Next Day Air PM, I'll give UPS the benefit of the doubt on the ground change. However, why in the world wouldn't they let me drive to the local facility and pick the stupid package up instead of making me wait until Tuesday? Sprint even called them and they wouldn't budge. I also know the direct number to the local facility and called them and they wouldn't let me come get it. So, it arrives at the receiving hub in KC, Kansas. They send it over to the Lenexa facility which is where they load the trucks. All this on last Friday. At about 11pm that night it gets signed back in at the KC, Kansas hub. I am certain come Tuesday morning I'll see it back in Lenexa, followed by out on truck for delivery. I know once on the truck UPS absolutely will deliver it no matter how late it may be, but I just don't understand not letting someone come get the package themselves. It would have made them one happy customer, instead of someone with a bitter taste in their mouth.

You could have gotten it had the customer service area at your hub still been open. No matter how many times UPS has told me over the phone that I could not go pick up my package without a delivery attempt first, if your package is there, and they are still "open" (my hub is open until 8pm on Friday), then they will try and get it for me.

@ 11pm? Nah... Not going to happen.

But hey, its already technically Monday. One more "sleep" to go before you can wake up and expect your TP2 to be delivered. OMFG the drama. lol.... it's all good and fun though, like Christmas bro. :D

Well, when it was at the hub that they load the trucks from I called about noon. I suppose I could have driven out their but I didn't want to waste the time if they weren't going to cooperate, which they didn't want to. Oh well, you are right. One more day of waiting and I'll have mine too. I'm satisfying myself right now watching YouTube reviews. :)

I thought the opposite.... I knew if I drove out there they WOULD try and find it for me. And they did, but the truck just hadn't arrived yet from Knoxville. It came in 15 mins after I left, and customer service had closed. :( hehe

I don't think you or I should try playing the lottery anytime soon, that's for sure. Since I can now officially say "tomorrow is phone delivery day" I will. Its now 00:20 Monday morning. Yay!!!
