so i just got the most delightful call, and i suspect a ton of others will too....

a woman identifying herself as a Sprint Premeir CS agent, i thought it was weird she said it like that, called me with an interesting offer...

She told me there was a new device launch coming up and based on the handsets on my account(3 TPs), they figured i'd be interested in an offer..

so i asked her what device she was talking about and what kind of offer she had in mind...

she said i could lock in today, and reserve a HTC TOUCH PRO 2 for 200bucks, well 199.99....

so naturally my next question was, well whens that coming out since everyone has different answers... "on the 8th of Sept" she tells me... she did reassure me though, that this was not a guarenteed date of launch, but my offer would still be good, even if launch is pushed back...

i wasnt sure if i wanted a TP2, but ah hell, why not, especially for 2 bills,guarenteed... i have 3 TPs, i can just sell one to cover the costs of the newer TP2....


so has anyone else gotten this call yet??? i hope everyone gets the same call...
ive been getting alot of hookups for sprint lately and i dunno why.... Yesterday i got an email for a free month of service, like 2 days ago i got a refurb for free and i shouldve had to pay...

i dunno, but it seems like sprint cust care,company wide, is trying hard to turn over a new leaf and better serve their customers... atleast thats how it seems to me...


they called my main line, and my 3rd line is the really tricked out one, otherwise i wouldve recorded the call for everyone to hear, but i dont have call recording on my main line....

i hope all of you get the same offer, whether today,tomorrow,or next week.... im actually excited now about the launch, since it appears ill be getting one now

if there is a direct ship release on the 3rd?
if there is you would think she wouldnt tell me i can have it on the 8th..

if BB was gonna launch b4 Sprint like they have in the past...
im sure if this were true though, by now, someone with a friend in BB, would know something by now, were 17daya away from the 8th already... they'd be launching next week if that were the case...wouldnt you think?

I've never heard of sprint doing this. I would question the legitimacy of it...not that it doesnt meant its awesome if its true...I would call a direct sprint line and ask them that this has been noted on your account, or what record they have of this taking place

Well I just called a Sprint Premiere Representative. I explained that I was having certain issues with my current TP and was very interested in upgrading to a new device. First he tried selling me on the Palm Pre, And treo Pro. I told him I was not interested in these devices. I asked If there were any phones coming out soon That I may be interested in, and he said he had no information on any other phones coming out soon. I then asked him directly that I may be interested in the upcoming TP2. He played dumb and said he knew nothing about the upcoming TP2. He continued to try to sell me the Treo Pro. Might as well close this BS thread since sprint will not ever do this.I asked 4 different people in Retentions today also talked to account services sup who put me on hold for 10 minutes not 2-3 but 10 and he researched this for me.

What did he find? sprint in noway no how does this.In fact he was so sure he said if i found that to be true which he said i will not he would send me a pro 2 for free as i have been with sprint for 10 years and have 3 on my 7 lines i have.He also stated no department has been given the price yet also.

Well since the baseball game i am going to watch is not on for a hour yet i still called again and again and this last time i asked to have a high priority rep call me back about this.And AGAIN i was so assured that they WOULD NEVER do this for a new phone that they would credit my account the price of the phone if i found this to be true.

The person i talked to asked me for the phone number of this person so he could put it to a end but i told him it was just someone i do not know on the net.

He then told me that was my first mistake.I have his direct line and said to me that if i found anyone who got this offer to have them call him and if by some un goldly reason it was true he would credit my account the total price of the touch pro 2.

This is just someone who is bored on a saturday.

Thank You... i mean who knows, for all we know it couldve been a promotion... maybe they only did it for like a 100 people, maybe 1000, maybe 10,000... wouldnt take but a day to fill any of those quotas... if it was something like that, out of Sprint 30million customers, itd be slim to none to get the same offer...

people just always want what someone else has, and if they cant have it too, then it must not be real...

Its funny how someone is trying to share his expierence with Sprint customer service and he already has people hating that he got an awesome deal and they didn't, so they immediately call BS.

Im talking to the premier account sup as im typing this and she again said noway no how and is even checking with telesales about it and again this premier rep tells me the same thing.Why not call in like they request? this way i get it free if you are not Bsing? want there number here it is lets put the thing to rest call in to this number 800-927-2199 and ask for Nicole and tell her you were to call in about the offer of a touch pro 2 for 199$ that you were given by a premier rep this deal.

Aslo she said the price was going to be 299$ after mail in rebate and the order date is sept 9th take it for what it is worth but call in if this is true and what you posted is true.

why it goes by where you work or have business with if he has 27% discount it is not cause he is a better customer it goes by other things where you work where you do business etc.... and loyality discounts.

I use to get another 10% but i dropped the 10% so i could get a 10$ on 6 lines which is 60$ saved which is a heck of a lot better then another 10 or even 15%.

I pay about 100$ when it is all said and done for basicly unlimited everything for 7 lines of service and i did not bring the plan stuff up i do not like to brag about it but when someone calls me out like he did i will post it.

BTW im playing fair im not even mad other then him trying to bs about something that is not true.

ive had the same 2 careers since i was 15yrs old, im 29 now... cooking(a real Chef, not a ROM chef) and merrily growing certain things and supplying a certain demand...

10 yrs ago when i signed up with sprint, i had no credit limit and was instantly eligiable for upto 5lines.... i bought 5 lines that day... sprint has retained everytime ive asked about more than 5 phones, which i asked about on day1 cuz i need more like 10-12 devices, that i needed a tax id to exceed 5 phones and set up a buisness account..

howd you pull that off?? like seriously though, i kinda need that lol

i DON't ask how or why.In fact i had 6 for a long time and they were never happy that i had 6 since you were to have only 5 lines.

Then one day i called in and a sales agent asked me would i like to add a new line i said as long as i can get what the other lines have and they said sure and added it.Yet if i call in and just ask for it they say no.

So the last time a agent offered it i said note my account which they did.

But at least i Am not making this story up.

You guys really need to chill with all the bickering, seriously. What difference does it make as to how many lines one has versus the other, what difference does it make if one has a bigger discount as the other, who cares? Whether boredandtattoed is lying or telling the truth is so irrelavent right now, you know why? Cause guess what, the damn phone still aint gonna be out for another two weeks. So sprint can call me right now and tell me they will give me 10 tp2's at $1 each but whats the point if the phone isn't out yet. Now personally if it was some nOOb that said this then by all means flame away but this is someone that has a decent amount of rep points, so I say give him the benefit of the doubt for the time being.

Remember at the end of the day its just a phone, 6 months from now none of us is gonna give a damn about this phone anymore, our attention will be on the next big thing to come out, whatever that may be.

Agreed with themuffinman. I want to believe him because that would be cool, but I just don't how this and many others, (release dates) don't have any evidence of proof at all.

There just seems that there should be a little more to the story than there really is.

In the end though, it's like trying to prove God, maybe we should just leave it alone?
