She said my only option is to bring it in for repairs or get sent a new one. I told her I can find pages upon pages of people reporting the exact same problems, it's not just my phone, it's every Touch Pro, so what's the point of being sent a new Touch Pro? It's going to have the same problems. I said "I know you guys are coming out with the TP2 in the next few weeks, why don't you just send me one of those instead" lol

She then said they haven't determined a price for it yet, and still my only option was to have it repaired or get sent a new one.

SO...try #1 not successful. I'm going to call (cancellation dept) the next time instead of the online chat. And I'm going to do it after the TP2 is out.

Anyone else thinking of trying a method like this? Is this bad? I mean the problems I'm mentioning are real. It's not like I'm making stuff up.

thought about it. i have been disapointed in the htc quality in the TP1 so if the 2 isnt better it will be the last HTC I buy.

I would wait until the tp2 is out and then call the insurance company and complain. Sometimes they will send you the updated phone. I went from a touch to a diamond this way. It will cost you $100 but well worth it for a tp2. If sprint doesn't come out with a diamond 2, which I don't think they will I might try it with my diamond. I know a tp2 would replace a diamond but there is nothing else in sprints lineup that would. The tp2 is the closest thing. I have my $150 credit coming soon (NOV.) so I'll just wait till then and buy the phone. Good luck. It seems sprint has really cracked down recently on giving stuff away.

that "premier customer" thing don't mean anything. everyone can upgrade every 11 months actually.

Do you mind elaborating on that some more? ^^^ How is it that "everyone" can upgrade in "11" months?

if you are not a premeire cust you only qualify for $75 not the full rebate, but retentions makes an exception

Most/some of us will get to sign another 2 year contract in a month or two eventhough we upgraded to the Pro last year. Priemer cust, need to sell some phone or whatever you want to call it.

I can get the same deal as I did last year. I am picking-up a Pro 2 the day it hits a sprint store or BB.

I don't see how he could get $%200 on ebay for a used touch pro, they are $220 New in Box clean ESN from 100% reputable sellers and that is bound to go much lower in the next couple of weeks.

Would anyone buy a 6 to 12 month old phone, especially one affected by use like a slider with a keyboard for $200 when new in box is $$220? I will be looking at standard touch pro as soon as tp2 comes out as I expect them to drop to close to $100.
