Re: Shortcut to Games folder on new start menu?
If you need a quick solution you can do the same thing I did for the games folder lnk:
Create a file with this in it: 21#:MSFEXPLORE \Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Office Mobile and name it Office Mobile.lnk or something Put that in \Windows\Start Menu\ But, I'm guessing you want to see that TF3D folder menu |

ok...
The link file (for example excel mobile.lnk) contain the following string: 21#:MSPXL The link file (for example word mobile.lnk) contain the following string: 21#:MSPWORD so you see where we are going here. The registry entry for #11 (Office Mobile) DispName: Office Mobile IconPath: IsReadOnly:0 Path:\Windows\Start Menu\Office Mobile I changed out the "0" folder (normally home) with the information that is normally in 11 & insured that the Office folder was in \Windows\Start Menu, performed a soft reset & I now have my office folder back After lunch I'm going to try and make other folders. I have added the office folder to this post for anyone that has lost it. |

Re: Shortcut to Games folder on new start menu?
Hopefully this is a tip someone can use...
k...Here is how you create your own shortcut folders in Manila... Create a folder under windows/start menu/programs. Name it whatever you want. move program links from the programs folder into that folder using activesync Now go under HLKM\SOFTWARE\HTC\MANILA\PROGRAMLAUNCHER\ chose a program position (they are labeled by number) & open it. Modify the following values (I will use "Utilities" as my example): DispName: Utilities IconPath: this is up to you, I leave it blank, but you can link to an icon in the folder you create) IsReadOnly:0 Path:\Windows\Start Menu\Utilities Now you may be saying what? The paths do not match between where you placed the folder & the path in the registry... You are right; apparently it assumes the path is: \Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Utilities. So you just need to put in \Windows\Start Menu\Utilities I hope this helps anyone looking to create folder links easily under manila |
Re: Shortcut to Games folder on new start menu?
Can you make an ink folder for Office Mobile like you did for the Game Folder. I am seeing the individual Office files in the all programs menu but i cannot select the actual Office Mobile folder to add to the Start menu list like it was before i accidentally removed it.
Ok followed your instructions up above this post and that worked, only thing now is that i have duplicates of the excel, word apps in the all program menu. I know this is due to the folder already being in the windows/start menu folder. Thanks |
Re: Shortcut to Games folder on new start menu?
Delete the Office mobile(1)folder under the programs menu
