But in my opinion, i find any info that is in anyway leaked or announced is old news to the general public, there is always something going on behind the scenes, i mean if there weren't, what kind of business practice are people using if everything they need to have confidential is available to anyone nowadays? While the time line of this all seems really erratic, i think it fits correctly to what it couldve been before any press leaks and or releases. The original TP2 did infact not have the 3.5mm but press leaks of even a TP2 was possibly a good year ago, i believe along side the release of the TP1. Then first the road map photo leaks before the 3.5mm jack statement well be for specific carriers. I'm honestly giving the road-map more credit then a statement, cause statements are just words, when a picture can be more credible. But regardless the 3.5mm jack statement is still credible by all accounts because it is a business choice, aka carrier choice whether to have it or not. So which brings me back to the roadmap, if this roadmap was in fact confidential at high levels, id say id trust the picture more, then a statement (which isn't a direct correlation to sprint at all, since it simply implies that "some" carriers wont have the 3.5mm jack) |
Re: Sprint Rhodium (TP2) Possible 3.5mm!
Wow, a 3.5mm jack - what will they think of next? Oh yea, Windows Mobile 6.1 to boot!!!!
The TP 2 is a dead on arrival place holder. Android phones like Hero are the real future for HTC. Microsoft can't get a competitive phone OS out before 2010. Where is Windows Mobile 7? Oh yea, a year too late. HTC is just putting the last layer of lipstick on this pig to make $. Android is the future. Microsoft is way too late to the party. |

This of course then debuts the theory of the delay due to the 3.5mm port and the FCC if it were the case. ________ LovelyWendie |

http://img505.imageshack.us/img505/5...35afterall.png Nothing really gives us a hint that it will have a 3.5mm jack. It's just a blank black rectangular area. U just put a rectangle and circle in there. So If I put just a rectangle in the middle. The ballgame will completely be different. |
Re: Sprint Rhodium (TP2) Possible 3.5mm!

Why look at the roadmap picture when we have pictures of the actual phone? There's clearly more than only one port at the bottom of the Sprint version.

First the TS mislead me that he enhanced the roadmap images. It is not the roadmap images bcoz this is the roadmap Images: http://www.boygeniusreport.com/wp-co...htc-2009-3.jpg So looking at the real roadmap, U can see that it is closer to the silver TP2 that is posted Up there. WHat the TS got is the Unofficial Sprint TP2 images not the roadmap images. So I did not really take a good look at the images that he posted coz of the fact that I'm saying. So with the real pics that is posted, It is convincing that it has a 3.5mm jack. |
Re: Sprint Rhodium (TP2) Possible 3.5mm!
Now to the TS. If U get the largest images of the Roadmap below. WHat will U get? So basically it came down to what I'm saying. We cannot get a hint on the roadmap bcoz it was released b4 HTC change their plans.

This was posted by cesium in this thread:
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=78150&page=2 This is a video of the verizon version that clearly has the 3.5mm jack so that should basically mean that sprint will definitely get it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dFDwqvWbogw |

I never condoned the idea that u said sprint was not making changes. I was referring to the picture that i posted in the beginning of this Topic. What you stated was that the photo i posted in the beginning isn't official, Which i find redundant cause who's for either of us to say it is or isn't. All we can say is how closely it resembles the real photos of the TP2 maveaglehas has pointed out for all of us to see. Quote:
Quote:
Because maveagleshas's photo showing the difference in size of the bottom is not a roadmap picture. But if you're referring to the long roadmap picture you posted, then its still irrelevant cause there is no diffenet proof of when it was produced or show in any conference. But if you're referring to my roadmap picture that i posted, then read Note1 Note1: for the record, jethro you're grammar escapes me. Infact some of you're written sentences are so broken, i get migraines trying to decipher them. |

And the difference of whether its official or not is not the issue, its whether it was intended for releases to a private audience or corporate branch. My sprint jpeg, would most obviously be for something of coporate level, since its strictly sprint related, But the roadmap u posted earlier would be best suited for a private audience. (most probably made up of corporate leaders, or mybe even just board directors and/or advisers) since you wouldnt wanna mix up people from different carriers since they are all competing against each other. |

On ur sprintjpeg, We can see the hint, Bcoz it is not the roadmap image anymore. It's the unofficial/official document |
