Just back from the Verizon Kiosk in BJ's with more rumors, gossip and speculation. The girl there told me the TP 2 WAS released last week via soft release but was 'pulled back'. She also said the September 15 date has also been pushed back.

Don't know the accuracy of any of this but the girl was familiar with the phone and did say it will likely be out before the holidays. And of course since she was cute I believe every word she said.

spoke to a rep to get the 9th refurbed touch pro and the guy said he didn't know when it would be released

You would think after Sprint released there date that VZW would not want to wait any longer to at least acknowledge that it exists. They even made the OP take down the pics. Why would they want to risk losing customers to other providers while they drag this out? Obviously the last Touch Pro launch went really well for them (sarcasm).

well gee it went so well I'm on my xth refurb switched to a sprint and an alltel touch pro back to verizon because of verizon politics =/

Yep, still waiting. No new news here, but I hear about some of you with stories about your 9th swapped TP or whatever.... I'm just humbly sitting here with my 6700 (3rd one) where the top row of keys from q-t don't feel like working most of the time, the touchscreen loses alignment more often than TMZ's posting videos of celebs not wearing underwear (which makes unlocking the phone tons o fun), and considering switching back to one of the 6600's I still have hanging around.

So now that I think of it, anyone need 2 6700's or 3 6600's?

I am thinking Sept. 9th would be the best time to call VZW and see if they have any updated information. Their new "Coming Soon" list starts that day I believe. Also, if Sprint drops their TP2 on the 8th, VZW could AT LEAST give us a date when theirs will be coming out.

Well I know the article on BGR this morning about the new data plans isn't necessarily being well received, but I personally will be saving $20 a month for the unlimited plan I'm on now because the TP2 will qualify for this new pricing:
