I don't know.....The TP2 is starting to make me feel like Charlie Brown! Every year Lucy puts the football down and Charlie goes running after it determined to kick it. Just as he reaches the ball, Lucy pulls it away and he goes flying up in the air and lands flat on his back! We are all hoping this devise cures the problems/issues with the TP and I'm starting to think it's all hype. I mean a better speaker phone, a slightly bigger screen and faster processor speed. But are our problems now, too small a screen and not a fast enough processor? I'm just not so sure this is the drink that cures our ails......

I've owned the Sprint Touch Pro, Verizon Touch Pro, and the T-Mobile Touch Pro 2. I assure you, if you are going from the Verizon TP to the Verizon TP2, the improvements in the TP2 are NOT hype.

As you are a Verizon customer like myself you should have been feeling like Charlie Brown for years with the ultra low priority VZW has placed us HTC/PPC customers at. But maybe just maybe Verizon hopes to make PPC users a higher priority and the only reason they'd do that is if they thought they could get more business from us users and they might if this custom Diamond 2 they have, the "Whitestone" comes out and attracts the Iphone users that would really help us all around.

Yes i've been following that also...but i wouldn't say that is factual evidence. Although for sprint customers i hope it is, i even hope it's sooner.

dude i have an XV6700!! I was looking at getting the Diamond for $100 but the forced data plan put me off... for a bit. After trimming my bill with a few mods on my plan i was ready to get the phone but then i started reading up on the Touch Pro 2/Whitestone's release dates and thought i should just hold out... ive been elegible for a new phone since April 06!

Whoa, you must be a patient person to have waited this long clutching an XV6700. But I guess since you're a buddha tiki god, patience is par for the course.
