I'm dying to get the Touch Pro2 for Verizon. My New Every 2 kicks in at the beginning of October, so I have to wait a little even after it gets released for VZW (if the estimated dates are right).

It means I get to watch more reviews while I drool over the prospect of getting the phone in my hands, lol.

I agree to that! I would rather wait for a non crippled TP2 than to get another TP situation again! This upgrade is HUGE for VZW TP users right now!

I have come to believe it will be out mid Sept. I think. Until then I just got the new PS3 slim, FF Dissida, and Soul Calibur for PSP to hold me over.

I cant wait to unlock it and get some Custom ROM's!!! I know Mighty is already working on some and if Sprints TP2 does come out on the 8th, they will have some ROM's ready for when VZW's comes out.

***BTW whoever "Thanked" me I appreciate it! It was my 1st one! lol Now if I can just get my reputation changed from Lurker... haha

By the way, I did call this morning and talked to tech support for another issue, and of course I had to ask. He said, "I don't see any release information for upcoming devices." You could tell he had that line memorized.

I wish she had that type of pull ;). She looks to be a BB (storm) lover . I hope it comes out soon, that just might open VZ flood gates to all the new toys.

Conflipper posted in a comment string over at wmexperts that he has been hearing 9/15 for a soft (online/telesales) launch for Verizon. Interesting...and perfect timing in my case. Obviously still rumor, but something to go on.

While this does NOT have any info as to the release date etc that we all want, here's a couple screenshots of Verizon phone inventory listings, including the 6875 listed at the following link. At least we know (probably) that there's no reason to lose all hope. Yet.
