wow 7 days till release I forgot it was so close but it is a rumor...never know unless someone is so wild to call vzw to see when the phone will be released...
usually a week before tech support at vzw is GOOD at knowing phone releases

right, but it doesn't usually take them too long after GSM to get the CDMA one ready.

I just seriously hope Verizon drops it on telesales or b2b on or before 9/15. Is that so much to ask? I mean, I've given them roughly $11,000 in monthly payments over the past 10 years....I deserve it...right?

I'm really hoping it comes out the 27th, My current phone (samsung i760) is being held together by superglue, and I'd rather just upgrade instead of get a refurbished asurion unit.

There's absolutely no reason to believe that it's coming out on the the 27th, except for 1 person posting a while back on HOFO that he "predicted" it was coming out on the 27th, and that person has since said he has no inside knowledge. If you Google "Verizon Touch Pro 2 August 27th", you'll only see 1 person in several forums repeating that date. Lot's of people, including myself, get their hands on pre release demo units of phones, and are able to provide details about phones that other people don't know. That doesn't mean we have inside knowledge of release dates.

I can say it is coming out tomorrow, it's a possibility... but in reality probably not going to happen. I have a feeling it is going to come in late September or even October, because that is just how VZW does things. They released late with the vx6800, they did it with the Touch Pro why would the Touch Pro 2 be an exception? Based off of this reality, I can whole heartedly say, VZW doesn't care about releasing there high end devices before other companies to try to retain business because they really don't have too. You stay with VZW because of the service, reliability and stability, VZW knows this and knows 99% of you will not move to a TMobile or to a Sprint just to get a phone 2 months early.
