It's also not the first time he's said something in that way (alluding to something, making his comment in that way, and then it ends up happening).

Believe me, two months ago, I never thought Verizon would release this before November, but how things have played out (leaked pics, video, corp customers getting demo units, and it showing in the stock list), August 27th is relatively feasible, but so is September 1st.

August 27th is the only date we've heard from a poster, who is supposedly on the "inside". September 1st was simply hearsay, and mid-to-late September was a quote from a Verizon CSR, and they aren't involved in much release information at all.

Engadget hasnt posted any new news about the TP2 in a while...Especially the Verizon model. Wonder what Verizon has planned...Why the secrecy?

VZW has always been tight-lipped about the release of their HTC phones. It's strategic to some extent. They'll avoid a release date war with other carries (like with the BB tour), and in the meantime, they will still try and shove the Storm and other crap devices down our throats.

I agree...This phone is not exclusive to VZW so they are trying to release it without the competition knowing. When VZW gave a release date for the Tour, Sprint moved their release date up almost three weeks to keep up with the competition.

I am very pleased that VZW's version of the TP2 did NOT look like T-Mobiles and that turd brown color. I dont want to jinx the situation, but it looks like VZW actually did an outstanding job with this phone.

For those of us subscribed, is it possible to keep this for relevant comments that havent been recycled and regurgitated. We all are waiting, can we actually look to our inbox for relevant comments than to hear your waiting as well. If it offends you, its meant to, its that simple...

This will be my 4th time (over 5 years) anxoiusly awaiting a new device. This is how these threads go until the device is released, it's just the way it is, so get used to it.
