anyone know the edit to disable the backlight button when keyboard is open? Id rather not install a bunch of other stuff just to get that mod. thank you in advance

Be wary of Advanced Config and CDMA devices. My understanding was that it worked with GSM no problem, but had misc issues with CDMA. I had to hard reset because of S2A problems after I installed it. I had hit and miss, and more miss, experiences trying to answer the phone when the Slide to Answer was engaged!

You have to go to All Setting> Personal> Buttons> Backlight
That has the settings for the keyboard backlight!

ty.

actually the only option is to "enable keyboard backlight auto sensor" Is that the option? I didnt thing it was, and the button still turns the backlight on / off regardless of how thats set. any ideas? ty again

I also can't get the 4 column start menu cab to work. It hangs up. I did wait the 30 seconds and soft reset but still only 3 columns

Maybe you can wait 60 seconds or whenever u feel it should have installed, then soft reset. I had to install it twice and it worked. It seems like it has hanged but actually installs; just dont tell u.

Sadly, in that case. I can't help you with your issue! You may have no choice but to find a cab file or a reg tweak to get the job done! Sorry, I couldn't be a better help!

P.S. I'm still learning about the TP2 as well! I am using most of my knowledge from past winmo phones which is all pretty much the same! But, there are a lot of aspects that are different!

Ok I have looked through tons of pages and searched and still can't find what I need. I have done the reg edit for PAM, but the forcecell that I delete keeps coming back. Can someone point me in the right direction please. Thanks. I have the Sprint TP 2. Also when setting phone to "ring and vibrate" it seems to set itself back to ring by itself, anyone else have this issue?

Have you done all the reg edits its here?: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...&postcount=142 If you don't do the last one cmguardian will revert your forcecell changes
