Re: Windows Marketplace cannot connect to server

no, i thought they just shut down the pc side of it? i swear i was just using the marketplace on my treo pro like 2 weeks ago. i remember them saying the marketplace will stay active for those who have it on their phones only. and im pretty sure it was working when i first got this tp2 and was using the stock rom....but i cant remember for sure.

I thought this was the My Phone service specifically? I don't believe I ever received an email on Marketplace ever being affected with this. That or maybe I just never received anything from MS.

Only the marketplace via pc was shut down according to the email I got a few weeks ago. Wasn't supposed to be the app, though.

Re: Windows Marketplace cannot connect to server

There already is an alternative app store, its called OMarket. It was mentioned a few posts up along with a link to download it. Its nothing to write home about but it gets the job done.

Omarket is good, but still can't find apps like weatherbug or pageonce available outside the market.
