How to set Opera Mini 5 as Default browser

So i've looked at:
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=101578

But for some reason that just didn't work or the reg edit didn't stick etc - but i finally got it! Look at the reg edits below:

USE THE QUOTES!

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Shell\Rai\: DEFBROWSER
"0"=Opera Mini 5
"1"="\Program Files\Opera Mini 5\OperaMini5-WM-armv4i.exe\"

HKCR\http\Shell\Open\Command\Default and I did it for backup to:
"\Program Files\Opera Mini 5\OperaMini5-WM-armv4i.exe" "%1"

Hope it helps!

Wirelessly posted (VZW TP2: Opera/9.80 (J2ME/MIDP; Opera Mini/5.0.3521/1150; U; en) Presto/2.4.15)

doesnt seem to work.

Put both settings in reg and all it does is open up opera mini...doesnt actually open up the url that was clicked.
Think it was discussed b4 that there maybe issues with opera mini 5 and the parameters that are allowed and how to use them (maybe different than parameters in opera9.x and 10

URL Clicking not working with Opera Mini 5beta is a confirmed bug that is already listed with Opera.

Use the instructions in the first post, but don't put quotes around the %1 entry in last of the three edits.

Re: How to set Opera Mini 5 as Default browser

Ya, it does work but it doesn't function right.

If you set OperaMini 5 to the default browser, you can not click on url links and have them open. It simply opens OperaMini 5 to the speed dial page.

This is a known issue with OperaMini 5 right now.

So if anyone is thinking of making OperaMini 5 the default browser, be warned that hyperlink clicking will not work.

This works!

Thanks

Is there anyway you can cab this?

Also How come the Opera Mini bookmarks are not in the favorites? Is there a registry edit/cab for this to work?

Thanks again!

Edit: Just seen PPCfreeks response and I have to say... CRAP! haha

So I take it theres no fix?

Where do I find this in the registry? What is this for?

Re: How to set Opera Mini 5 as Default browser

Try this to make Opera Mini your default browser:
Under \HKML\SOFTWARE\Opera, add a new registry folder:
"\Opera Mini\Backup\:DEFBROWSER".

Under this new folder, create 4 keys:
0 (registry type: REG_SZ): Opera Browser
1 (registry type: REG_SZ): "\Windows\OperaL.exe"
2 (registry type: Decimal): 1
3 (registry type: Decimal): 0

Enjoy!
