Wait, that letter says you can still browse, purchase, and download software FROM YOUR PHONE but it does say the website will be discontinued.

Ahhh, good catch.

Now, how about the My Phone service? Need a method to Sync contacts to online storage from WM6.5 (like what My Phone does today).

Well, you could use something like Lookout Mobile Security. It will auto update/sync Contacts and other data to your account on the Lookout website. I personally have not used it in a while but it might be an option for you.

I don't see the big deal about this as to why people are getting all ignorant and touting to goto Android. its unnecessary, there's exchange hotmail sync for contacts and calendar items, don't know about files and text messages tho,and from what I remember the myphone service had a 200MB space limit so not everything was able to be synched to it anyway it was much better to have all cab files or documents saved to SD card anyway and I started doing that as soon as I noticed the limit and as for text messages, saving thousands of those bogged down the OS. so once again calm down people.

i dont really want all my contacts from phone on my live account....so the hotmail/live sync is out for me.
Prob will sync to company exchange I guess.
Not going droid as I dont like the interface.

yea I didn't either that's why I created a new live account dedicated for that purpose. but its good that u already have a solution tho.

Are there still issues with Outlook sync'd contacts with pictures?

I know using Google sync fucks up the quality of the pictures but I haven't noticed anything major back in my WM days.
