still not getting the script to turn screen off.

If I lock the device (press power button). then get a txt message.
Screen comes on showing the wm default lock screen and the sms message icon.
It dims the screen after 5seconds but doesnt turn it off till 30 which is the setting for the backlight.

What is not working?

can you link me to the ROM you're running ? I'll flash and try it out so I can debug . I know you said its in your signature but the ROM isn't linked only that FAQ

I flashed the ROM . and checked the registry , and like you said the DispOn entry was missing .. which is weird . but I added the entry and that did make my script work . however , when you add that entry , it doesn't change to a value of zero when the screen is off . my script will work by adding that entry and setting it to a value of 1 . I'll mess around with it and see if there is another registry to call from . I won't know why he left the package out which controls the changing of the value for that key . since I'm a chef , a beginner lol , maybe I can find the package that changes that key and cab it up .

ya, kind of strange.

I am getting ready to flash to the Jun 1st version of NRGz rom. Will see if that helps or not.

I couldn't get the cab to work initially. Then I realized I had used the Mortscript smartphone cab (which is for non-touchscreens), instead of the Mortscript PPC cab. Fixed that and elesbb's cab worked great on my VzW TP2 running stock!

I'm getting much better battery life. Almost to the end of the workday and still have 3 bars! Great work!

I just updated the cab . this update short make the battery last even longer .

Added a CAB so you can have your unlock screen always unlock to your today or home screen .


Would anyone want a script that will keep your phone from locking or even going into standby when certain programs are open ? ie youtube slacker ?
