TP2 OS on Arrive?
 

Is it possible to have the TP2 operating system (WM6.5) on the HTC Arrive (W7)? Maybe theres a way to flash or something. Help. I dont wanna lose my TP2 or my plan but i'd like a hardware up grade.

Simple answer is a resounding NO.

Slightly longer answer directs you to lookin into the WP7 bootloader and the limitations it imposes on modifying OS files, in addition to reading up on ESN's and the legality of modifying ESN's (for your purpose of upgrading the h/w without activating a new phone).

but I too would love touch flow 3d on the HTC arrive or HTC evo.

Nope..it might be possible years from now after people hack it up enough..but no guarantee and chances are you can assume its a no...

Not exactly TouchFlo 3d..but if you have seen SPB Shell 3d for android it reminds me a bit of TouchFLo 3d...

gten.. you think the ns4g gpu can handle it graciously? It should.. I forgot all about spb mobile shell 5.0. This might be the first app I buy.

If you want TF3d just use the TP2 with the 6.1 rom. If overclocked it works great.

Well our GPU is on par with the dual core phones :/..

To note though, in the Demo movie..thats a Nexus S lol..so if they developed it on a Nexus S..it "should" theoretically run well I guess..

there is alot of interest on this topic due to the fact that it has been asked a few times before in a couple other threads and unfortunately the answer is,always has been and will always be no. what u can do however is a complete operation,get a tp2 and an arrive and swap the processor,RAM,and screen from it then put it on the tp2. ull get to keep ur phone and plan that way.

with that said once mango hits there won't be any need to even want this and from what I've been reading on wpcentral, and wmpoweruser mango is slated to kick ass.
