Get what "works" for you.

Brand loyalty is for those who seek acceptance. Believe me you won't get a check from Google if you choose Andorid... etc...

Be who YOU are and get what YOU need. Who cares what anyone says. If iOS did everything I want my phone to do... I would consider a switch. Just try things out and you'll be just fine.

That's why I said "IF"... But just cuz you don't have an iOS device it doesn't mean you're save from tracking...

Besides it's no big deal... EVERYONE around you knows you're there...

Ugh, on my way to the Sprint store right now to get a new phone. My TP2 has lasted me two years, got it a week after they came out. It still works, but the "phone up" button is missing (the LEDs are blinding bright, should've been on the back of the phone), the speaker is blown (completely my fault) and now the screen autorotates on it's own/doesn't change when I open the keyboard. (probably from when I dropped it the 3rd time)

After I finally got a good custom rom and overclocked it and got running great.

I don't know what I'm gonna do, I really want another TP2, but I want 4G. I also would LOVE to stream fucking Netflix, not a big deal I guess as I normally watch it at the house anyways, but damn that would be killer.

Supposedly there's all these badass new phone coming out in the next two months, I just don't know anymore...

the HTC Arrive is currently the only sprint phone that could stream Netflix. the Netflix for Android app is in the making but hasn't been released yet AFAIK. and as for 4G its basically just a marketing gimmick and battery sucker. 3G is enough to satisfy most if not all computing needs (when it works but I won't go there in this thread).

I was in Vegas last weekend and 4G did nothing noticeable for me on my EVO. Streaming Youtube still had to buffer and what else do you need that speed for? Unless you are tethering and using the laptop... I can't think of anything I'm going to do on my phone that requires super fast speed.
Not till they get things right and standardise 4G and give us batteries that last longer than a fart lingers.
But I'm not holding my breath... So to speak.

I boot into Android with my TP2 and there are a lot of apps, but mostly play stuff. I can do all the Google Maps, voice commands, TellMe, Bing, etc. on WM. I have office apps like excel( even third party ones that will do macros & programming),word, powerpoint and outlook on WM. In short it is a good business phone. There are several good Navigation programs on WM that do not require online internet access.

If WM7 were backwards compatible and would run all the apps I have acquired and tweaked over the years then I would go with it. But, with it being Silverlight based and having to get a new development system and not being able to run WCE/Pocket PC apps, etc. then it is a real downer.

Typical of MS abandoning the masses and requiring developers to buy and learn a new OS and developer tools.

I know Android can open and edit some office files, but not sure it run some of the excel files and controls I now use on WM. It would be great if Android could boot back to WM or even better yet run a VM to allow running some WM apps. Oh well for now, even though I qualify for an upgrade, I am not inclined to do so.

What do you need opened? most of the office apps are free to view, payed to Edit...so you can test out the apps for free to see if they open and then see about committing to buying..

4G has its uses...like downloading huge files...I also notice tethering is smoother on 4G...(probably due to being able to handle more active connections)

I have been in a few places including vegas, vegas I had not bad 4g coverage maybe even the best..but the speed was the slowest out of all the markets I tried so far while traveling.

FREEBIE!

Ugh...brand new TP2 in my hands, it feels sooooo good.

I'll never let you slide open fast again!

Vegas is overloaded for 4g and 3g, you can't barely tether with either there, just so many people there.

4G in AZ on the other hand.....

I would have got the EVO 4g by now. But I am going to wait for the 3D.

Right now WP7 cant do thether, not much warez, no non-data GPS.

So going for my first phone outside of WM. Sorry Microsoft.
