I wouldn't take that analysis to heart...for one, microsoft is a client of pyramid research..the other guys are not...if you go to the bottom of their site, they even have a link to M$ blog..

Also, the major bases of these results is Nokia's impact on the market, unfortunately its not so simple...most of Nokia's fan club is made of people who support Nokia's "open source" policies and/or loyal to "symbian" platform..by the time Nokia enters the market with windows phone it will shed most of their user base. Also to note Nokia still plans to release MeeGo phones, so its not out of the question of people who were loyal to nokia or symbian to choose to go to MeeGo(which can run symbian apps (at least the Qt based ones)) and LG entered the MeeGo arena as well..

I still remember the days when you have to carry a phone and a PDA, good times. The newer devices coming out are looking more and more attractive, but I still can't give up my TP2. I lost it yesterday and a replacement one is on it's way this afternoon.

These addons will keep me satisfied for a while, especially with my $30 sero plan.

what one can do on the arrive with its current OS far outweighs what one can't do currently.

Thanks for the tips & help. I actually got my Arrive activated on Page Plus today. It was a little tricky to get the PRL put on the phone but after some searching I was able to do it. I wasn't able to configure the data yet so I'll need some extra time experimenting that. I have Wi-Fi everywhere so data won't be a problem.

The only thing I need to do is install my 32GB card and reformat and reinstall again. Oh well, save that one for another day:)

As far as my Hotmail contacts, I wiped the phone, set up my Exchange server as the primary and then my Windows Live ID account for the Hotmail & XBOX Live stuff next. Still in the settings for that account it only has e-mail as the selectable/deselectable item. I'll have to keep searching.

I really dont want to pay the extra 10 dollars a month for the 4g since I really dont need it.

I was considering the HTC 7 but it doesn't have tethering and this is an absolute deal breaker for me.

What android phones have the ability to tether that don't have 4g. If it has to be rooted then im fine with that.

Im not too worried.

I plan on getting a sero plan so that 10 dollars would just be the premium upgrade.

So im not to bothered.

Just a little dissapointed on the HTC Arrive and its inability to tether.
