Cannot connect to USA GSM Towers...please help.

Ok, so this is what I'm did. I dropped Sprint and went to cell phone store for cheaper unlimited plan. The network my phone will be on is called Simple Mobile which is a 3rd party of Tmobile/At&t towers. Everything is set up for this new network. They unlocked a SIM card but they said I need to flash something so that I can connect to GSM towers in the US. I don't want to mess my phone up so here is what is done to my phone so far so someone can steer me in the right direction:

HTC TP2
SIM Unlocked (the cell phone store purchased code)
Phone Unlocked through CDMA
Running Vin's Plutonium ROM.

Please help. Is this an easy fix? I installed the ROM myself, so I'm getting better at this stuff, but I am still a little confused about all this, so I ask that you guys be clear as possible about this. Thank you so much for all the help I have received so far.

People tend to make this mistake ..if you hspl your phone (unlock for custom roms), the info says SIM unlocked..but if you haven't purchased the SIM unlocker, you are not SIM unlocked.

The Cell Phone store purchased the SIM unlocker code and said he entered it. He actually just gave me a new one to try myself. How do I go about entering the new code?

This is a Sprint TP2? You need the security unlock followed by flashing a patched radio if memory serves me correctly. You will find this on the same site as the hard spl unlock.

1)by "security unlock" you mean "phone unlock"?
2)Now since I have unlocked my phone and SIM already and flashed a custom ROM, all I need to do is flash the patched radio?

3)I'm confused as to where to find the patched radio or which one to flash. Are there two different ones for CDMA and GSM? If so, which one?

Demon is correct, the sprint tp2 is a different animal...it can only be SIM unlocked through software and then flashing a special radio. It's not hard to do, but it'll cost about $25 (depending on what the u.s. dollar is doing vs. GBP)

Ok, so how do I do it? Again, here is what I have:

Unlocked through CDMA thread.
Unlocked SIM and got code.
Flashed Vin's Plutonium ROM.

Does it matter that I unlocked the phone while I was under Sprint. I just want to let you guys know that I unlocked through the CDMA thread and used Vin's Plutonium ROM.

Now that being said, I'm not sure if I have to Reunlock through the GSM thread????????

U went for this anyway despite what we told u in the other thread? Are u sure that nit having 3G service won't bother u? WiFi isn't available everywhere u kno.

Securiy unlock and Hard SPL (ROM Flashing) are two different things. Sounds like you are Hard SPL unlocked, but you need the additional steps.

do not go by what it says on the phone, if you didn't do what's in that thread, you ARE NOT sim unlocked!!
