friend's tp2 is stuck on digital roaming...

my friend's tp2 seems to be stuck in digital roaming, and even after hard reseting the tp2 the phone won't work unless its in digital roaming.

it won't even display the header "sprint" in the top left hand corner anymore.

what can he do to get the phone back to normal?

Wirelessly posted (htc Pocket PC: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows CE; IEMobile 8.12; MSIEMobile6.0) Sprint T7380)

First get your MSL from Sprint or use one of the MSL Grabber apps to get it. Then dial ##786# and then click on Menu at the bottom right.
Press Reset then OK and then enter your MSL. The phone will do a hard reset and reprovision all should be right with the world.

or just go into setting and do a prl / profile update . Roaming is controlled by the prl . that's a lot easier then horndoctors way , id give that a whirl first .

Might be a corrupt radio, if Hard Reset does not fix it. Good luck.

Maybe that will work but it sounds like something is messed up in EPST to me since you said a hard reset didn't help. If updateing prl and profile doesn't do it then try my suggestion.
