Bluetooth headset woes

I've been using a Touch Pro 2 since last April and just got a Plantronics Voyager Pro+ for A2DP support. I'm having a few issues:

1) Ringtones don't seem to be sent to the headset. It plays the headset's ringtone. Any idea how to fix this?

2) Skipping occurs if the phone is in my pocket or I'm in a windy area. Is this due to physical blockage of the bluetooth signal? Has anyone else had these issues?

I'm using a GSM T-Mobile TP2 with Energy ROM and 25.95 Radio.

Any help is appreciated.

that's just an issue with winmo, mine does the same. 6.5 Doesn't support Bluetooth sounds either, though some headsets support it and will announce.

What headset ringtone are you refering you ? do you mean the actual phone is ringing and the sound isnt coming out of the earpiece ?

Bluetooth has a range of aprox. 30 feet .. so i doubt its being blocked if you have it in your pocket .. and wind doesnt effect RF energy waves .. it may be a defective headset .. all i got for ya . really weird symptoms your having . lol

I cant remember exactly where i saw it but somewhere in the settings there is a way to have all the sounds of the TP2 go to the headset .. i used it when listening to slacker the one time . also the ringer went to the headset too . ill try to find it again .

I had it working on a Moto h700, it would not work on my h710, 720, or plantronics 975 :(.

The default ringtone that the headset has plays instead of the one that I have customized. What's happening is that if I have the headset connected through stereo audio and hands free, and the volume up on the phone, the phone's speakers plays the ringtone I have customized while the headset plays its own ringtone in the headset.

Also, when I receive a text message, I'm getting the last second of the wav file for received messages on the headset.

Also, on the skipping of the headset, it seems fine if I'm in the car, but as soon as I start moving around somewhere, it's hit or miss if I have a constant stream of sound from the headset.

that's normal . the headset goes to "sleep" and powers down to retain battery life and only come on when needed , say an incoming call , or when you press a button . the delay varies with headset . some really expensive ones have like a millisecond of delay .

that's goofy .. never experienced that with mine . and mine was 30 bucks . try a different headset if you can . it might be the headset .

Your skipping issue is most likely caused by interference from some other source. There may not be anything you can do about it. Blame the FCC.

Is there a way I can direct the ringtone to the headset though?

There is a cab to direct all sound to the bluetooth headset. I'm too lazy to look for it right now, but it gets linked every now and then. Try search.
