SMS notification green blinking light

I have a tp2 with att. I am wanting to be able to enter the time that the green light flashes when i receive a txt msg. This option is there but is grayed out. Can someone give me the reg edit to enable this function.

Download and install this cab:

http://www.mightyrom.com/device/rhod...king_Light.cab

Then soft reset/reboot and then the option will be available.

Yea I think it's pretty stupid that they have the options there but for whatever reason disabled. They could of at least removed the option all together instead of graying it out leaving us questioning the whole thing. But I'm glad they did because that lets us know we have those options available just need to figure out how to.

Thanks doc for posting that cab..As much as I'm on here, I didn't know about it!! I ripped it apart to figure out how he did it. Well it comes out that he made & added a "AllLEDMgr.dll" and changed a few reg edits to make the dll work(zero'd out a few strings). Well I played around with the notifications registry and figured out how to enable most of the grayed option without the need for the cab. Only option still grayed out afterwards is repeat for play sounds.

Here's how to do it..
Open any reg editor and navigate to HKCU\ControlPanel\Notifications. Once there scroll down and open each of the directories listed below. When in the directory open the string "AvailableOptions" and change it to 15 (Decimal). The directories are actually found in the {..} I listed what works what for everyone..

These were the one's Mighty changed in the cab..

Yea I figured it'd be useful to share. Took me as much time to play in the registry and figure out what was what, as it did for me to type in all those damn #'s and make the post lol.

I only wish I still had my old treo 700wx. It used to have settings that you could set different ringers for "unknown incoming caller id", "blocked caller Id", and "known incoming call id". I bet if we had the reg entries from one we could probably implement that feature into our phones.

Try clearing any excess texts and temporary files and see if that helps. Otherwise, you may be due for a hard reset/clear storage. :(

well I just got the phone so it's not too loaded with stuff yet. I've just been tweeking on it a little. sounds like I tweeked a little too much. I've never hard reset before, how is that done.

do I need to remove the sim card 1st

I assume it restes to factory defaults and wipes memory?

what is the key sequence to reset?

sorry for the dumb questions but this is new to me
