What do you mean it won't stick? Does it revert back to default after a soft reset? If so, this thread is related: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/htc-touch-...y-startup.html

Yeah, I had seen that earlier. Just hadn't gotten around to doing it. 200+ pages of genetics and pathophysiology is keeping me from having any fun today. :-)

As far as the changes I make, yes, they revert back to default after a soft reset.

Thanks

i think you guys are over thinking this .. a simple Mort script file placed in the startup folder with the reg edits will work .. right ?

Thats correct. I just hadn't gotten around to it. FWWIW though I'd really like to prove my idea by trying it on a non-CHT ROM, which I just don't have time to do at the moment.

The link in my post above shows exactly that.

Tried on fresh no CHT ROM and only thing I could get to stay with 1 is the ProximitySensorOn. The detectstatus and wakeup stay at 0? Tried with my .cab (which is just mort script that puts in startup) and just a plain .mscr file I manually put in startup. Curious if anyone else gets it to work? This is the same as with CHT installed, only SensorOn file stays at 1.

Wonder if there is another reg key that we're missing. THeres also the "default" key that does not have a value setting so I set it to dword hex 1 and it kept the setting. not sure if that is what it should be though.

I tried it with and without the default being 1, no difference. I'm not sure what other setting there is?

I had a Problem with one of Vins ROMs a
"no Sense no Titanium no HTC canvas" that the proximity sensor didn't work. The screen always stayed on letting your face hit all kinds of buttons. I tried everything I could think of with proximity in reg and never did get it to work... so I'm out of ideas here
