TP2 locked me out!

So I had a massive test in the morning so I shut off my phone (I rarely do that) and when I turned it back on, I seem to be unable to unlock my phone with my password (4 digit numerical PIN, using default lock screen). I do have Lookout Mobile installed, but when it prompts me to type in my username/password, I can't. The boxes don't register that I've hit pressed any keys.

What do I do? Hard reset necessary? I hope not... don't want to go thru the hassle of getting everything back the way I like it.

I can't seem to do anything when connected to a computer either... I can't bypass the lockscreen.

I am using stock ROM, with CHT 2.0(or whatever the most recent version is).

yup hard reset and get rid of CHT ,its a super RAM guzzler, especially on the stock 6.5 rom

and this is why we learn to make backups... setting your phone up shouldnt be a hassle... not when PIMBackup, Sashimi, XDA_UC, MS MYPhone, and/or other backup programs exist..

sorry but like everyone else said, Hard Reset is the only thing thats gonna fix it..

yep, you have to hard reset. cht uses a app called LockDevice and it doesnt support lockscreen passwords. thats why u got locked out. it says this in the first post of the cht thread.

I dont understand why yesterday of all days it decides to act up when it was working fine for the two months previous when I had CHT installed? I did a hard reset. Luckily had all my CABs in my SD card and got my contacts from MyPhone

so you had cht installled while using a pin lock for about two months and it just now decides to act up? hmm. were you messing around with the cht lockscreen lately? i think u can have cht installed and u a pin lock as long as you dont activate the cht lockscreen. maybe someone else can clarify this.

this just happened to me now, and i am not using any other type of locking mechanism other than the one provided by windows 6.5 where you can configure it thru the settings of the phone. No matter how many times i type my correct pass-code it tells me i am incorrect, i don't understand why this happens because it is annoying

i have had this same exact thing happened to me today..UGH! WTF! sigh...time to rebuild from scratch i guess...

its more than likely a app you installed. ive heard of Lock Device, swype and cht doing this if you use a pin code. sorry, a hard reset is the only known option
