No good, once it's installed you can't get into QuickGPS anymore. I just get an error.

Sounds like you may need to Task 29 and re-flash your rom.

did you copy the exe from the zip to the install folder? that is what's been patched, the cab is just included to make sure everything else is as it should be.

I'll give it a shot a little bit later and see what happens. So I'm copying the .reg file over too?

Has anyone else got this to work?

Try this guys.
Take the attached zip and extract the xtra.bin file and copy it to your main Windows folder and your main Temp folder using Total Commander, Resco Explorer, or maybe File Explorer will work.
You will have to overwrite the existing file you have.
Then wait a min.
Then soft reset.
Then try opening QuickGPS and do a manual update.

I had a problem with QuickGPS auto updating when I first flashed from stock to a MightyRom rom. It continued not to function until I flashed to an Energy Rom (Nov 25). QuickGPS auto-update is still working fine.

I did do a Task29 before I flashed to Energy, but didn't when I flashed a MightyRom, so maybe thats what fixed it for me.
