What is Sprint going to replace the TP2 for?

From someone i know that works for sprint in KC they only have at best and im mean at best 2 months maximum of TP2 replacements and refurbs in stock so by jan-feb all warranty replacements will be given different devices I wonder what.

every device that comes in gets refurbished and shipped back out for claims, so thats not really a safe estimate..... its not impossible or anything, but what they have "on-hand today" has nothing to do with what may be "on-hand down the road"... like i said new devices come in daily to get refurbbed... its an ongoing cycle...

Should they really be out and go on back order and such, expect: a Blackberry, Moment(could/should be Intercept by now), HTC SNap(if not discountinued already, Sprint feels because this runs winMO its comparable), and some other BS device if lucky...(or maybe one of those 3 newer Android devices Sprint dropped a few weeks ago since theyre entry level)

itll never be flagship devices like an Evo or Epic though, i can tell you that much..

I highly doubt that the TP2 will "run out" of replacements anytime soon. Like someone else had mentioned, theres just to many out there that get brought in and refurbished. But, if it ever does happen, my guess is they might try to offer the Hero or the Snap.

Thnk they'll offer the TP2 for $99 any time soon? Kinda silly that they;re still charging $199 for it, considering you can get an Evo for that.

The one reason I got the HTC TP2 is Sprint will not allow any newer smart phone on a old legacy plan, you have to have a everything plan. This was the only handset that I could get that would activate with my Family 700 plan. I bought a Hero on ebay and was not allowed to activate it so I had to relist it and then I grabbed a TP2 on ebay and activated that. The REAL question is what handset will Sprint allow for the old vetran plans, if they ever run out?

My guess the fact that its a world phone/business oriented is keeping the price up..if you think thats expensive..look what they price the Motorola ES400..hey maybe thats what they will give you as a replacement..but I doubt it considering the price tag :/

Its 500$ with 2 year contract

I still remember last year when Asurion upgraded me from the TP to the TP2, took three tries because they kept trying to offer me a Snap or a Tour and tried to tell me that they were "comparable" devices! It's a shame that we know way more than them about their products lol!
