Ill try not to be confusing

Ok, so I'm about to run energyrom on my current verizon tp2. Butttttt, i plan on selling it to my friend to be run on at&t. the only problem i see, is what MMS fix do install to make it work properly as that is one thing he wants to work well. Should i install an ATT fix, or the verizon fix:dontknow:

Thanks gentlemen ;D

*i think this needs to be moved...i probably posted it in the wrong forum out of hastiness*

Your phone will not work on AT&T.
Unless there is something I am missing AT&T is still a GSM Network. (SIM Card)
Verizon Is a CDMA Network. No SIM
Although the Verizon Touch Pro2 has a SIM Card, That is used exclusively for
Non U.S.A. roaming. (Europe, Asia...)
That is why there are 2 sections in this forum for Rom Upgrades.
GSM and CDMA.
Save your Phone and your friendship learn the basics,
or flash the phone with a GSM ROM, thereby bricking it,
then sell it to your friend as a paperweight.

I've used it quite a bit on my other tmobile account without issue, the us bands are built into the verizon version of the Tp2, just never got MMS running right =(. And data was a little funny xD

Re: Ill try not to be confusing

if ROM comes with 2.5 messaging client, mms should work.

I think you already know that you have to unlock your TP2 so it can use SIM cards (check the stickys). About the MMS fix install the one for the company that you're going to use the phone with, in this case the ATT one. But if the energy ROM you're planning on to install it's the same one I'm thinking theres an "AutoData Config" on Start/Settings/Connections that will setup the phone when it has a SIM card in it. Of course you have to unlock your phone first following the stickys on this forum.

Seriously? Read more please, before spouting comments that might confused others. I have a USCC TP2 unlocked working on T-Mobile and I install CDMA ROMs on it cause it's a CDMA company model. I have installed T-Mobile MMS fix cabs on my CDMA phone with no problem. The only things that will brick a CDMA phone are GSM ROMs and GSM radios.

It's like a movement with people spouting ignorant comments with such fervor about how a CDMA company TP2 model cannot be used with a GSM sim card. Doesn't people care anymore to read the sticky threads before posting, at least the titles like "[SIM-UNLOCKER]".

I was wondering the same things as a friend of mine has a Sprint TouchPro2 on a AT&T network. is he limited to only EDGE, or is there a way to enable 3G internet?
