Well Ad-Hoc would not be possible..but if you have a wifi-router and connect both your TP2 and your PS3 to that router they would be able to share....
If that is not an option, how about loading Android on the TP2 and see if Nexus One method works for the TP2 Android port?

My ps3 dose the samething.plug tp2 via usb goto storage hit display all and there are all the files off the tp2.
