found it. start settings menu other settings personal input options

alas no place to change default "save" location but I was able to change default recording compression.

I am kinda in the same boat as the OP, the in call recording takes up too much memory and ACR cannot be installed on my phone due to MS .net framework issues.

Is there any other free cabs out there that will record a conversation and then save it to the storage card?

What ROM are you running ? .NEW compact framework 3.5 is cooked in Many ROMs ..
