just make sure your phone is on and connected to the PC via ActiveSnyc and make sure your PC has a internet connection. If this is your second phone then you are probably stuck like the rest of us, read the thread.

Let me make sure I understand you. You took the Authorized Sprint Rom Upgrade exe file, then opened it and replaced the .nbh with your custom Rom .nbh file, closed the exe, ran it, got stuck on a screen, but then no harm to your current Rom and the phone runs fine? Do you happen to remember the screen that it got stuck on and what problem occured?

You can try:
1- OPen "RUU_Rhodium_W_Sprint_WWE_1.21.651.3_RS_1.96WF_NV_ SPCS_1.42_0430_PRL60652_Ship.exe"..
With Winrar...
2-Make a folder and extract all files there..
3-RENAME your custom rom to "RUU_signed.nbh".
4- past/REPLACE the rom in that folder...
5- run "ROMUpdateUtility.exe"
Let us know what happens.
If it gets stuck, then it didn't change the files, so cancel and reboot, or run it again with original exe file:
"RUU_Rhodium_W_Sprint_WWE_1.21.651.3_RS_1.96WF_NV_ SPCS_1.42_0430_PRL60652_Ship.exe"..
Let us know if you have any luck.
EDit: others tried & say doesn't work

Now I'm beyond annoyed. I paid the $6.50 last night and I'm still at square none. Same shit is happening, nothing! I completely disabled AVG & Firewall. My comp was running w/ msdc. wth?
I've unlocked and flashed several devices in the past.
This sucks.

ETA: Last night the hspl kept telling me I wasn't connected to a/s -and/or- that the server was down. It varied between the two. This is so freaking annoying.

I have now paid a second time(which I don't want to encourage others to do but) and this time it worked. Make sure you put in your IMEI# at the link below (you can find the IMEI# under the battery of the phone). If you decide to pay make sure that you use the auto installation and not the manual because it will not work.
Olipro->Creations(&Unlockers); - RhodiumW Hard-SPL

well shitballs! I read elsewhere that since there was no IMEI for Sprint, to use ESN.

Now wth? Did I just throw $6.50 out the window? This is seriously out of control aggrevating. effin a!

Re: HSPL unlock (CDMA) HAVE YOU RECENTLY UNLOCKED?

The phone gets stuck on the gray screen where the progress bar is shown alongside the percentage #. It just sits on zero and on the PC side is also just sits in the progress pop-up at zero until it automatically kicks me off with an "error" message and number associated with it. (can't remember the error number)

Regarding the swapping of .nbh files, what I did was to extract the files from the Sprint Authorized ROM Upgrade .exe file into another folder. In the new folder into which I extracted the files, I went ahead and deleted the existing .nbh and replaced with a custom .nbh from another ROM (timberwolf671 custom ROM). This didn't work. I figured it should since all custom ROM's I have ever used come in a .rar package. Therefore I figured I'd create my own .rar using the Stock ROM and swapping only the .nbh. To be clear, my folder was a .rar archive, not an .exe "ONLY" file from which everything ran from after the swap. Again, just like how custom ROM's are packaged in .rar files.

Hopefully that clarifies what I did.

what about trying this approach

just a thought, but...

i used HTCRIE.exe to open and view the contents of the RUU_signed.nbh file that is in the shipped rom. i can remove, replace, and add files to this .nbh at will.

question: which files would i want to remove/replace/add to transform this from a signed NBH to an unsigned NBH. anybody know?

rom chefs?

i'm thinking that if we can determine which components of the NBH file to work with, perhaps we can extract them and place them into the custom ROM we want to flash to our phone?????

any thoughts, ideas?

okn Im in a weird position with some posts here..

1st if you read the deveopers site period ALL the way thru and dont pay the 20 us or 14 euro. don't expect full help.

I have an issue where someine actually snatched my service & rendered my phone useless to the point im having to get a replacement even though i dont want one. The serial was nripped from the hardware.

I dont want to unlock security but just hardspell. No biggy to load a stock rom for a new radio. BUT here's the issue im wondering about.

I remember reading that you NEEDEED to be on the same ip and computer when i 1st got mine a year ago. humjm.. I've upgraded to a new operating system and have a new ip.. SO ....

am I or am i not going to have the issue of hardspl'ing again? Reading this is like hummmm.. I did pay a total of 28 bucks to them. and now needing a replacement phone.
