Resolved in-call Flight mode issue, now how do I see my notificatioins ?
A couple of weeks ago I was plagued by phone all of a sudden going into airplane mode in the middle of a call. Happened often enough to drive me nuts. Finally, after consulting my inner Holmes, I realized my ear was rubbing on the task bar as I spoke so it would take just a few presses to pop up notification dialog window -> start communication manager -> hit the airplane mode button so conveniently located at the top. For some reason this didn't happen for the first couple of months I owned the phone, probably because I would keep it farther away from my ear at first.
So, I disabled the HTC notification dialog, and the problem never came back (and before I would get it several times a day). However, now there's no easy way to see the missed alarms or other notifications - hitting on the task bar produces no effect most of the time. What I need is a way to invoke the default notification dialog by a shortcut - is it possible ? |

I suggest you re-enable the notifications like they were and install and use a locking app like Slide2UnlockPro that locks the device when the backlight turns the screen off so you don't activate anything while in call if the screen turns back on. :) Here:

theres a S2U2 Pro version??? guess that shows how long its been since ive used S2U2 lol
how wa your issue even possible OP?? the backlight should be off when using the phone.. TP2s have a proximity sensor that turns the screen out when covered... so how were you hitting the taskbar?? theres a zillion ways probably to get notifications: text and email tab give you those notifications.. alarms and calendar appointments should be on home page as well already.. call notifications-hit the talk button lol, itll show ya right then what you missed.. start>settings>sounds and notifications>notifications>sms, mms, email, missed call, voicemail>show message on screen-check it that takes care of those... also Cookie Home tab AND MaxSense all have extensive tweaking abilities for showing notifcations of all kinds.. but those are a bit more drastic changes in your overall UI than the things mentioned above.. edit.. and if your looking to just get the HTC notification screen to pop up anyway possible, try tracking down the several TaskBar Tweakers we have here.. Those people would know exactly where the Reg Edit or file would be for such a feature Id think.. |
