It will say Serial toward the bottom until you connect your device to your pc with a usb cable. Then it will change and say USB. Then run the RUU.

You may need to uninstall and reinstall Windows Mobile Device Center on your PC and try again. Reboot your PC after you uninstall WMDC then reinstall and try connecting again and see if it says USB on your device.

Tried reinstalling wmdc and rebooted and the phone still does not switch to usb.
