Certainly, I have OCT installed on Sprint WinMo 6.5 stock rom and it works great.

Now I'm back on 729, no go on higher speed. I'm using stock rom.

ATM looks like 748.8 is the ceiling for my CPU with the rest of the settings in their default states. Basically the same when OC'ing Xandroid (diff situations, but same CPU max apparently?)

Winmospeed or OCT 1.5?? Which one is better overall?

IMO, Winmospeed. I get a higher overclock rate and gain back memory as it doesn't have to load a driver to run.

So it's also better performance clock for clock?
And you are saying that you have extra memory available because the program doesn't need to run?

No, I am saying you gain RAM back because OCT had to run an extra driver (which used up precious memory in an NRG rom ) when it loaded that is not needed in WinMoSpeed.

In the words of another poster (swlaraut):

This could and maybe should be in one, (or more) of the overclock threads, but I would like to share, and read from other users what their OCT V1.5 settings are. What ROM do you use to begin with, and, what are your best settings? Here are mine:

(Completely stable, since Aug 28th. btw)

Energy ROM August 28th, GTX, 23xxx, Cookie (Love it NRG, thanks) OCT V1.5 @ 768, 2000ms interval, 0 steps, (so it's running at a constant 768mhz, started with two steps and I think battery life was a little better), 100 load max, 0 load min, 80 jump max and 3 jump min.

I use Nitrogen ALL the time, NO SOD *fingers crossed*
Numerous phone calls, NO SOD *fingers crossed*
Opera AND texting WITH the physical keyboard, again, NO SOD.

So, try these settings, what the hec, right? And I do have quite a few different cabs installed, Resco Explorer and Resco Photo to name a few - super snappy at this speed, btw, and still no SOD. I tried ALL the other overclock methods and this for whatever reason is holding out. Netripper with Nayr1482's script had me at 787mhz for almost twenty four hours doing basically all the same stuff except I was on the same GTX 23xxx Cookie NRG ROM< from August 22nd. There's my two cents folks.

Does winmospeed do the same job as mentioned above and possibly better if not worse?

I understand I may have asked this question over and over again. I just want a perfect overclock software that will give better performance, stability, speed, quality, reliability, no SOD, etc. in the same way as OP said. Looking answers from those who possibly had experience with both software on Sprint CDMA Htc Touch Pro 2. I hope this is my last time I will ask this question.

I would say yes. I had WiMoSpeed @ 787, but got a SOD after about three or four days. Go figure. WiMo that shiz!

P.S. I don't know what I'm doing here, I jumped ship and got an EVO. WAYYYY BETTER! OMG WAYYY BETTER. Calkulin, Myn and the shiznit; Cyanogen!

So would you recommend winmospeed over OCT? Performance wise and stability and reliability?
Any clocks that won't crash/SOD?
Have you tried 787 in OCT?

I understand the EVO is better, just that it can't support with my plan.
