stock 6.5 rom? try this. native winmo drop down task manager to the top corner of the screen where the "x" is.

Or just use the built-in Task Manger with a shortcut in whichever screen you prefer.
See images I can see why you might still want the old drop-down manager if you are in an application and can't switch to the Home screen, but you can always hit the "Start" soft-key or the Windows hard key to access your programs. Just my $0.02 YMMV

you can assign the "built in" taskmanager to the long press of the send key if you dont currently use that for anything, but the op said he didnt like the htc taskmanager or "built in" as you refered to it.

Oh aha, I never even saw the task manager in there before.
And what I mean by bricked is that when I had it installed it wouldn't load past the WinMo Flag screen. How would I go about assigning it to the long send key? |

start menu > settings > personal >buttons > program buttons.
if youve never been there before send key will be the first option. just assign the program there. |
