Nice, that's what I should've did, but I started picking at it with my nail to test how easily it would seperate. Before I knew it, I had all ready peeled off enough.

The funny thing is that I decided to remove the whole black piece after that, I ended up ripping some of the orange mesh off and had to superglue it the pieces back in.

I'm gonna edit my post and link to your post with that pic, so people can see what it should look like when cut out.

for the record modding your battery cover will not void your warranty or affect insurance claims on the phone... in fact when exchanging the phone thru claims they only require the actual device, the battery, stylus and back cover are pretty much yours to keep at no penalty. Trust me, When I had my Diamond this was explicitly spelled out for me by many techs. When it came time for me to list it on Craigslist, I sold it with 3 extra batterys, 5 stylus, and 5 batt covers that I had dyed various colors.

Also if you go to any local Sprint service/repair store you can always ask for free replacement covers for your device... 9 times out of 10 they'll just give you one if you ask nicely.

Just applied this mod and it works wonders for clarity and volume.... it's the simple things in life! lol
