Best way to repair a cracked screen?

I got a replacement phone on fleabay but lo and behold--perfect screen, bad ESN. I was wondering if there was some kind of clear product I could use to fill in the crack? The phone works fine, it's a cosmetic issue. Switching out the screens is an option if I could get Sprint to do it (prolly not) or find an authorized repair center who can swap the screens for less than $100.

I had TEP but I'm murder on phones so I've reached my replacement limit until September. TIA for any suggestions.
