Microsoft Exchange Server Issue : Outlook Email

All,

I need some HUGE help.

A couple of weeks ago I was able to successfully download my work email through our Microsoft exchange server domain and server information (for months it was working). As of right now, I am now getting errors:

Security certificate on the server is not valid. Contact your exchange server admin or ISP to install a valid certificate on the server.
Support Code: 80072f0d

I have deleted partnership with my computer and re-partnered, deleted my email account and add it back again... All was unsuccessful... does anyone have the idea why this suddenly occured after months of working great. How do i get it to work again.

has your admin added the requirement of a security certificate to be able to access the exchange?

not that i know off. Other people with other phones can still get their information. I might be the only one having this issue.

It's possible you are no longer have EAS access on your mailbox. Login to OWA, and click on "Options". You should see "Mobile Devices". If you don't see that, youe EAS access was removed from your mailbox...Also, as was suggested, you may simply have to import a cert on your device to get mail flowing.

It almost sounds like you lost the cert on your device. You may need to download it from the OWA access of your work email. Then transfer it to your device and install it.

Where do you locate the cert's?

On the device there are in Start>>Settings>>System>>Certificates

My cert that was provided to me by my admin is located in the Root area.

Is there any way to "backdoor" the system? Admin won't give me any information or help because it's a personal device and not a company device. Right now I just have everything on autoforward to my gmail account and have gmail set up with my device.

Hi.. I logged in on my OWA and went to Options but I don't have a Mobile Device option on my menu.

I also did not have to install the certificate on my device before and it worked, I am wondering why I have to do it now...

If that is the fix, can you guys provide me some info on how to get all the certificates I need and install it on my HTC Touch Pro 2... Thanks!

Backdoor Exchange...that's funny. If your email admin is worth his salt, then probably not. If IMAP is enabled on your mailboxes (not typical) and you have an SMTP relay you can authenticate to, then yes, you could backdoor it. However, you would not be able to "sync" anything except your Inbox, (i.e no calendar, tasks, contacts, etc.) and even then it would not be "as items arrive".

Also, be careful with the auto-forwarding to Gmail. You have to change how Gmail responds to meeting requests. I think it will auto-respond with an acceptance, so people will see their meeting request was redirected to Gmail when it comes back to them that you accepted.

Our admin here publishes the certs openly (gov't agency), however, just installing the certs are not enough, your mailbox also has to be EAS activated. And if you do not see the "Moblie Devices" option in OWA, than it appears you may no longer have EAS access.

What ver of Exchange are you running?
